Obituary of Phyllis Faye Lambert

Phyllis Faye (Wahnetah) Lambert, age 85, passed away unexpectedly at Tsali Care Center on March 22, 2021, after a brief illness. She was an Army veteran and made her living as a nurse at Cherokee Indian Hospital. Phyllis is survived by her children, Kay Jones (Sam), Steve Lambert and Tammy Lambert, all of Cherokee. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnson and Ella Arch. Brother, Robert Wahnetah. Sisters, Viv Ross, Willie S. McCoy and Nancy (Jim) Taylor, and granddaughter, Dusty Lyn Jones. A visitation will be held in the chapel of Long House Funeral Home on March 23 beginning at 10am until 12pm. A graveside service will follow immediately after in the Bethel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be among Family and Friends. Long House Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
